About/bio
Camilla Baskcomb is a qualified paper conservator who trained in London, specialising in Prints and Drawings conservation. From 1980 - 1996 she had a private conservation practice in South London, before being employed by the Tate Gallery as Senior Conservator for the Oppe Collection.
Since 2001 Camilla has worked part-time at the Auckland Art Gallery, originally as their Regional paper conservator - a fee for conservation service offered to other institutions and the public. Camilla's focus now is caring for the collection, loans and exhibitions and undertaking research when possible.
Camilla also has a private conservation practice where she can be contacted for conservation advice and undertake practical treatments.
Qualifications and/or experience
2001- present: Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki.
2000: Accredited conservator-restorer (ACR) through ICON UK.
1996 - 2000: Tate Gallery, London.
1980- 1996: Bates and Baskcomb, private conservation studio, London.
