NZCCM welcomes any individual, organisation or institution to become a member. We encourage education and networking for professionals, allied professionals, and individuals interested in supporting conservation. We provide and develop services that are responsive to the professional needs of our members.
Subscriptions are annual and run from April – May.
Full members are those who work mainly or exclusively as conservators, who have achieved internationally recognised standards of training, knowledge or professional experience and who have agreed to abide by the NZCCM Code of Ethics. An applicant for Full Membership must be able to demonstrate that they hold a recognised formal qualification in the conservation of cultural materials or have five years of supervised professional work experience in the field of the conservation of cultural materials. There are two application submission dates per year: 15 February & 15 August.
Affiliate members are not necessarily fully employed in conservation or fully qualified. They may include conservators in training, those with an interest in cultural preservation and members of related professions.
