NEW ZEALAND CONSERVATORS OF CULTURAL MATERIALs
Connect and follow NZCCM
Connecting with us and learning about what we do is as easy as following us on Facebook or Twitter. Many of our members are doing amazing things across the country and beyond and this is a great way to learn more about conservation and what we do. We also post news and events here.
We have four Regional Groups which run their own local events to support the membership. There are also sister associations running public events which we will share on our social platforms. Subscribe to our News and Events feed to keep up to date with what's going on near you.
The Annual NZCCM Conference is our largest event and it is usually held in October. The location and conference committee team changes every year so there is always a unique feel to the event. The conference attracts speakers from all over the world and provides a wonderful opportunity to network and keep abreast of the amazing research.
We strongly encourage everyone with an interest in cultural property and its preservation to become a member of NZCCM. We have two membership levels: one for conservators and one for affiliates to the profession. Membership offers a tonne of benefits like subscription to our Newsletter, access to online resources and discounts at some events and businesses. if you are a full member you also have the opportunity to be on our public directory of members so the public can easily contact you a well as the opportunity to shape this organisation with voting rights at our AGM and chance to be a voice on our Executive Board.
If you want to do more than just be a member you can volunteer to do some of the behind the scenes work for the organisation. We currently has active groups working on Membership and Social Media. If you are a member and want to get more involved please contact the secretary or via our contact form.
There are a number of voluntary positions of the Executive Committee including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, Web Officer and Regional Representative roles. If you think you have the skills to join the team please do let us know. Not only is this an amazing way to help the organisation meet its mission and objectives, it is a great opportunity for personal and professional development. If you are a Full Member and want to get more involved please contact the Secretary or via our contact form.
NZCCM is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers. Your support means we can achieve our mission to conserve New Zealand's cultural heritage and support our fellows in the Pacific region. If you have any questions about donating to NZCCM please contact the Treasurer.
