About/bio
My family and I are based in Masterton. I have a strong passion for conservation, particularly in regards to paper. I feel that the effect of seeing and feeling an original document is one not able to be replicated digitally, and I want to be part of keeping that feeling alive for others to access.
Qualifications and/or experience
I have been at the Masterton Library and Wairarapa Archive since 2010. Prior to this, I spent around 18 months at Archives New Zealand on the Repoman Replacement Project. Here I learnt techniques for creating custom boxes for various sized volumes, as well as other conservation methods that I have carried into my career in Wairarapa.
Relevant training
BA in History from Massey University
Managing Local Government Archives course through ALGIM
Risk Management Training: Disaster Preparedness and Response for Libraries, Archives and Records through Triptych
Risk Management Training: Care and Handling for Libraries, Archives, and Records

Due to start MA in Preventive Conservation through Northumbria University in late 2024.
