About/bio
Andor has worked in the heritage sector since 1998, including the Institute of Archeology in Serbia, the Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service (UK), the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge (UK), and the University of Cambridge Museums (UK), and for a number of other organizations as a freelance consultant.

Andor’s expertise is in collections care, including creating collections care plans, policies and procedures, emergency planning, risk management for collections, and developing cost-effective projects and strategies in care for collections.

Relevant training
Andor’s background is in archaeology. He then served a four-year apprenticeship in furniture restoration and making. After his apprenticeship, he studied furniture conservation-restoration at West Dean College (UK) where he gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Furniture Conservation and Restoration. He later gained a Master of Arts degree with Distinction in Preventive Conservation from Northumbria University (UK).

Andor holds a Diploma in Programme and Project Management (Chartered Management Institute, UK)

Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management (Institute of Leadership and Management, UK) and

Certificate in Managing risks for Collections (ICCROM).
